James J. Paloucek


Jim Paloucek was born in Ogallala and grew up in Holyoke, Colo., where his dad farmed and his mom took care of the family’s home and four children. After graduating law school in 1989, Jim moved to North Platte, and has been in private legal practice here since. He and his wife have four daughters, all graduates of North Platte High School. Jim specializes in personal injury, workers’ compensation, and insurance dispute cases. Jim is active in professional organizations and is a frequent speaker at continuing legal education seminars. 

Jim was inducted as a fellow into the American College of Trial Lawyers in the fall of 2023.  The College is limited to one percent of the total lawyer population.  Induction requires a minimum of 15 years trial experience.  The College is composed of the best of the trial bar from the United States, Canada, and Puerto Rico and is by invitation only after careful investigation to those experienced trial lawyers who have mastered the art of advocacy and whose professional careers have been marked by the highest standards of ethical conduct, professionalism, civility, and collegiality.
